LABOUR COLLEGE OF EAST AFRICA
The Labour College of East Africa (LCEA) was established in 2014 by Hon. Arinaitwe Rwakajara, who serves as the Workers’ Member of Parliament in Uganda.
The institution was founded with the mission to empower workers and leaders through high-quality education and training, promoting social justice, economic empowerment, and sustainable development in East Africa and beyond.Situated in Kampala, LCEA focuses on fostering social justice, economic empowerment, and sustainable development across East Africa.
Hon. Rwakajara’s vision for LCEA includes expanding its reach by establishing regional study centers across Uganda. These centers aim to provide accessible education and training opportunities to workers in various regions, fostering a more inclusive and empowered workforce.

Uganda’s Labour College of East Africa (LCEA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Terra Sola Group AG, a Swiss company, for the development of renewable energies in Uganda.
The MoU spells out the terms that will facilitate a program geared towards the development of competencies in the area of renewable energies.

The Annual Youth Camp organized by NOTU has drawn huge numbers from 38 affiliate unions. The Five day event which concludes tomorrow has seen youths take part in training sessions aimed at equipping them with vital knowledge in union matters and the labour movement in general.
The Annual camp is taking place at Devine University in Fortportal, Kabarole District.
Workers University is one of Egypt’s most important universities in terms of technological development and international quality workshops, and it is also the only academy that provides its students with hands-on experience in factories.
